The State University of New York at Potsdam Honors Bachelor's and Master's Graduates
The State University of New York at Potsdam awarded nearly 900 undergraduate and graduate degrees during its 2013 Commencement ceremonies on May 18 and 19. SUNY Potsdam honored about 750 students who earned baccalaureate degrees, while another 140 graduate students earned their master's at the College's Commencement weekend. SUNY Canton Students Recognized at Honors Convocation
Students who excelled academically were honored at SUNY Canton's 2013 Honors Convocation.
"Through your hard work and perseverance you have changed the fabric of our College," said Interim SUNY Canton President Carli C. Schiffner at the event held May 1. "Many of you are not only very accomplished academically, but also have given numerous hours of your time for service to our campus and community. We are a better institution because of your hard work and dedication."
The College's Honors Convocation is an annual, formal ceremony designed to recognize students' academic, civic and overall achievement. Each year, the ceremony is named after the most dedicated and revered faculty members of the College's history. This year's ceremony was named for SUNY Canton Distinguished Professor Emerita Nancy R. Auster, who taught for more than 25 years.
